Volunteer at SCMT
As part of the work to develop a new business model, Swift Creek Mill Theatre is asking for help from our community. We will need experts from many areas to help serve on committees, offer insight on different areas, and actively participate in many aspects of the development of a new business plan. Please fill out the application below and someone will be in touch.
Volunteer Positions
This is a list of common volunteer positions. If you have an idea of a different way to help out at SCMT, we would love to hear about it!
Volunteers must be over the age 18, able to pass a background check, and have a passion for the arts.
Committee Work
Please know this is a significant commitment. Committees will be doing comprehensive work, engaged in research and analysis in areas related to finances, fundraising, and programming, and developing plans and recommendations for a future proposed operating model. Governance and Communications are also focus areas. More details of each committee are listed below. Please know that Committees will be limited to small numbers to ensure we can move efficiently and effectively.

Focus Groups
The Mill will host focus groups to have deeper discussions of emerging ideas and concepts.
Hosting and Hospitality
Volunteers would be welcomed to assist in hosting at the events listed above
Open Houses/Coffee and Conversations
opportunities to join broader, open conversations in a relaxed atmosphere.
Office Help
As we work toward reopening, we will need assistance in the office, mailings, answering phones, etc.
This type of work will start as early as June.
