Mill Room Gallery

As part of our commitment to supporting all varieties of art, The Mill Room functions as an art gallery. Each MainStage show features a new artist or group of artists. Work is hung through the dining room and hall. While not all pieces are for sale, any art sold benefits the Mill and supports a local artist.

Artist Statement

Since 2016, Swift Creek Mill Theatre has showcased hundreds of visual artists from Central and Southside Virginia in the historic Mill Room, fostering collaboration and promoting the arts to our patrons. This ongoing initiative has been a resounding success—and we look forward to continuing the tradition for the next 60 years and beyond.

About the Exhibition

Swift Creek Mill Theatre is pleased to announce that the Featured Artist Exhibition for the run of It’s A Wonderful Life, A Live Radio Play will include Ed Hatch, Mike Haubenstock, Terry Lacy, Terrie Powers and John Price.  There is no fee to view the artwork for theatre or dining patrons. The fine art will hang on the walls of the Historic Mill Room through January 12, 2026.

During this production we are pleased to present a variety of art pieces in the Historic Mill Room. The exhibition includes 30 pieces from 5 artists of the Greater Richmond area.  Mediums exhibited include a wide range of art media including oil, acrylic, watercolor, pastel, graphite, pen & ink, collage and more.

All of the pieces are available for sale. Patrons can inquire at Swift Creek Mill Theatre’s box office about adding a piece of indelible American culture to their personal collections. Swift Creek Mill Theatre does receive a small commission from the sale of art during this exhibition.
