John
Winn is a singer, saxophonist, and composer living in Richmond, Virginia.
He has been a member of the music faculties at Virginia Commonwealth University,
and Longwood University and currently teaches at the University of Richmond
and St. Christopher's School. He received Richmond Magazine's Teresa Pollack
Award for Outstanding Vocalist in 2005. In 2004, John toured parts of Asia,
Russia, and Mexico with his jazz quartet, Neighborliness, as part of the U.S.
Department of State's Jazz Ambassadors program. He has played the Kennedy
Center's Terrace Theater and Millennium Stage and has played with many music
and theater luminaries including Tony Bennett, Aretha Franklin, Lou Rawls,
Ben Vereen, Robert Goulet, Chita Rivera, and Arturo Sandoval. John's latest
recording of his own compositions, "Around The Campfire" can be purchased
